Last night was the first meeting of the new Mixed-Media group I'll be holding every month, and wow, was it wonderful! Just look at all the gorgeous boxes they created!
I always get nervous when starting with new students, or trying something different (this was my first project-oriented class, versus teaching bookbinding or art journaling) - who's to say what I experience will translate through? But wow! Everyone was chatting and laughing and just...getting their hands dirty! Some even said they were having fun while class was going on, and others sent me lovely messages on Facebook after we all went home.
It was a soul balm we all needed. I can't wait until next month's get together.
(Did I mention is was hosted by my darling friend Denise? Who is also a chef? We were well fed, happy creative women!)
