True to You is my first art journaling course & teaches the basics.
What to journal about? I could create pages I loved, but they would simply be that -- pretty pages. I saw artists with imagery, speak about Symbolic Alphabets and know what they were saying with the images, but I couldn’t figure it all out. How do you know what to journal about? And how can those pages help you find a more authentic self?
True to You, the original course, was created out of my dislike of relying on external prompts to fill a journal. Prompts are wonderful, but there’s so much rich material all around you that you could journal for years and never need a prompt if you only knew where to look. True to You 2, the sequel, continues the journey. Now that you know what to journal about, I want to take you through the process of figuring out what to journal with. What colors and shapes and textures do you love? What do they all mean to you? In order to discover what you love, you need to learn to break free of constructs formed when you were young and see things as they are, not how you see them.
Running Loose on Canvas was created for the first round of 21 Secrets, and now that it's closed down, I thought I'd continue to offer it for a special reduced price! Learn about working on loose canvas and all the amazing things you can do on it that aren't possible on paper! This class includes a PDF instruction book and three long videos to get you started on your loose-canvas journey!
Button Journal Mini-Workshop was created to share the method behind the soft, fabric-covered yet amazingly sturdy button journals I created for my Etsy shop two autumns ago. This easy-to-follow course will have you sewing, painting, and binding your own cushy journals that will last a long time!
Wish Journal Workshop is a journal-making class that has you not only working on the pages, but binding an awesome journal! This workshop is technique heavy. This means you can take what you learn here and make it your own. The project presented can be altered depending on your comfort level with binding and journaling, and the PDF presents several options to make this journal your own creation.
