Phew! I've been running around town trying to grab more stickers for you guys...and I finally did today! Whoohooo!!
The sticker sets are back up, along with a new, big gel print set! And while chatting with a friend today on Skype, I discovered that y'all think these are those flat Avery labels, huh?
NOPE! They're glossy and thick and just look AWESOME! I really love them, and have them all in my journal and on my laptop...I'm sure my iPad case will be covered soon, too!
I also found some journals I'd made in the spring during my first run as a bookbinding teacher here in Tempe...both are made with awesome Strathmore mixed-media paper, and are 6"x9". I made the covers all pretty with my gel plate, some Catalyst wedges, and my new feather stencils (that I will be sharing soon, promise!)! They look so awesome, I'm tempted to keep them....but I'll just let them pile up, and why not share them instead?
I also made some postcards! EEEE! One set is gel prints, the other, pages from my most recent journal (I just can't let it go!). These prints look amazing in person! And they're not too expensive! So if you've wanted some of my art but don't have a lot of extra money to spend, then here you go! There are only 5 sets (that I cut down all by hand last night!), so grab 'em fast!
Check out this full moon!
I have affirmations to concentrate on during this gorgeous moon. Things I hope happen next year. I realized that all the stuff I've been sharing on Etsy isn't reactive as I've been - that is, whenever my bank account would get low, I'd scramble and put stuff up online in hopes of making enough to pay for meds. I've been like that for the past few years, and it's a stressful, disappointing way to live (you can't help but compare yourself to what others can sell/fill/have sign up for classes).
Now that I'm teaching successful, fulfilling classes here in the city (and at my first retreat in a week!), I find that I don't need to run here for engagement and feedback, which makes everything....*content sigh* It just makes interactions so much nicer and looser.
All that I'm doing online is now coming from a place of wholeheartedness, of wanting to share because I want to share. I know the path from a possible diagnosis or illness to being thankful and happy can be long, scary, and full of unseen dangers, and I want to be a guide. I want to come take your hands and show you the safe places to step. I want to share my creative process and continue to prove that you don't need a fancy education or art classes to create beautiful art!
Next year, I won't be doing as much online, but the stuff I am offering, well...it's coming from deep within my heart. I'm really excited, and just love being able to put stuff up and walk away to go play!
(I'm working on embroidery right now...I tend to work in cycles like that!)
